See How the Brain Is Functioning
Symptoms tell us what someone is experiencing. qEEG Brain Mapping provides another layer of objective information by showing patterns of brainwave activity and regulation.
At ARC, we use this information to better understand how the brain is functioning—not just the symptoms being reported—so care can be more individualized and informed.
See beyond the symptoms. Better understand the brain. Personalize what comes next.
What Is qEEG Brain Mapping?
Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG), commonly called Brain Mapping, is a non-invasive assessment that records and analyzes the brain’s electrical activity.
During the assessment, sensors placed on the scalp to record brainwave activity across 19 channels. The sensors only measure signals
—they do not send electricity or stimulation into the brain. The recorded data is then analyzed to identify patterns of brainwave activity and provide objective information about brain function.
What Can qEEG Help Us Better Understand?qEEG may provide additional information about patterns of brain activity associated with areas such as:
- Attention & concentration
- Executive functioning
- Emotional regulation
- Cognitive performance
- Stress & arousal patterns
- Other concerns affecting daily functioning
For individuals seeking diagnostic clarification for concerns such as ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, or other neurocognitive and emotional challenges, qEEG may be incorporated alongside clinical history, neuropsychological testing, and other assessment data when appropriate.
qEEG does not independently diagnose these conditions. Instead, it gives our clinicians another source of objective information to consider when understanding the whole person.
From Brain Mapping to Personalized Treatment
Understanding the brain is most valuable when it helps determine what to do next.
qEEG findings can help inform individualized treatment planning, including the development of personalized clinical neurofeedback protocols and consideration of other brain health or therapeutic interventions when appropriate.
At ARC, qEEG can be used in two ways:
As part of a comprehensive evaluation
Brain mapping can add neurophysiological information to neuropsychological testing, clinical history, behavioral data, and other findings to deepen our understanding of the individual.
As a focused assessment for treatment planning
For individuals who are less focused on receiving a diagnosis and want to begin appropriate brain training or treatment more quickly, qEEG may be used as a focused assessment to help guide personalized care.
Why ARC for Clinical qEEG Brain Mapping?
Every Brain Has Its Own Pattern.
At ARC, we believe understanding should come before treatment. Our 19-channel Clinical qEEG Brain Mapping isn’t viewed as a stand-alone answer. It is a clinical tool that helps us better understand the unique brain in front of us.
We connect brain mapping with the individual’s history, concerns, goals, and clinical needs to turn complex data into a clearer, more personalized path forward.
We don’t simply collect brain data. We use it to help inform what comes next.
